A man identified simply as Fidel narrates his plight especially due to his daughter’s chronic ailment that has left him worried and devastated.
Fidel is a father of seven but his last child is down with an illness. According to him, the girl was born normal but after some months, her head began to swell rapidly. After visiting the hospital, the doctor disclosed that the little girl had Hydrocephalus. Hydrocephalus is a build-up of fluid in the brain. The excess fluid puts pressure on the brain, which can damage it. If left untreated, hydrocephalus can be fatal.
The man who didn’t have funds at the moment returned home with his wife who began to work tirelessly, engaging in multiple jobs just to see that she raise money for her daughter’s treatment but unfortunately along the line, she died.
This added to Fidel’s sorrow as he was now left alone to take care of seven children with no source of income.
